Do you have an overarching theory or philosophy of training? My approach to each client is always based on safety and education first. There are so many fitness and nutritional messages that come across as punitive and leave you feeling poorly about yourself. I believe in celebrating where you are and what you CAN do and pushing forward towards what you WANT or NEED to do. I want my clients to celebrate what they can do and support them as we move toward their goals. I believe in lifting people up, NOT tearing them down.
-
Where do you meet your clients? The majority of my clients are from referrals or word of mouth.
-
Do you have classes available online? At the moment no, but they are in the works.
-
What do you like about the training you do?I like that every client is unique with a different history and presents with a different set of goals and possible injuries or limitations. Working with them to discover what works and motivates them while highlighting what they CAN do and guiding them towards further success. From working with clients that want to move more and hurt less, train for an event or are recovering from a surgery to women wanting to stay active during pregnancy or work their way back from giving birth or athletes in-training or in their off-season - each client has their own story and their success is measured differently.
-
What ages do you train?I train clients from ages 12 - 75+
-
What kind of equipment do I need?Depending on your goals, very little to start and I will help you determine the right equipment for your needs.
-
Do you do in-home training?Several factors will determine whether or not in-home training is an option: Are we both comfortable with the arrangement? Where does the client live? What equipment is available on site? Will I need to bring equipment with me? How safe is their home environment? Is there enough space? What distractions exist at home?
-
Are you able to accommodate people with disabilities or health concerns?Yes. Before we decide to work together we will meet for a free consultation (in person or online) and see if what I offer matches up with your goals, needs and motivations. We will also discuss any health concerns or limitations you may have. I pride myself on finding creative solutions to workout obstacles and focusing on what you CAN do.
-
What do you accept for payment?I accept cash, Venmo, and Paypal.
-
Do you have any COVID protocols?I am vaccinated and boosted and require the same of my clients if we are training face to face.
